Changes were brought to the Law “For the Cultural Heritage”

Recently some important changes were brought to the Law “For the Cultural Heritage” approved in 2003.

The main changes are at the Article 23 about the Article 42, and consist in the creation of the “Agency for the Archaeological Service”:

25th congress of the REI CRETARIAE ROMANAE FAUTORES
“The Pottery of the Via Egnatia”

The institute of Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences, Albania, will organize the 25th congress of the RCRF on the topic “The Pottery of the Via Egnatia”. It will take place in the city of Durres, Albania, from September, 24th to October, 1st 2006. Participation is open.

The congress sessions will be accompanied by visits to archaeological sites and museums. There will be also an exhibition of Roman pottery found throughout the Albanian region. The congress languages will be English, Italian, French and German.

   

New Seminar Series

The newly established Group for Archaeological Debate has started a Seminar Series that will mainly focus on theoretical and methodological discussions, as well as current developments and approaches in the archaeological studies in Albania.
