“Archaeological
aspects of the Christianization in the late
Antiquity: the Province of
Praevalis”
Gëzim Hoxha |
|
On March 23 Gëzim
Hoxha presented the topic: “Archaeological aspects of the
Christianization in the late Antiquity: the Province of Praevalis”.
This presentation opened interesting discussions on a field,
chronologically very different from the previous seminars. The
speaker provided a concise, but very informative overview of the
data from the late Roman and early Medieval periods from the
Praevalis Province. A great number of settlement and cemetery sites
of the region were illustrated and put in a wider context. The data
presentation was followed by the advance of a number of
thought-provoking conclusions and generalizations for the whole
Albania in the late Antiquity.
The presentation of this seminar encouraged many questions and
discussions that enriched the evening. These discussions continued
well after the formal seminar, when red wine from Permet stirred
many more debates. |
