The second meeting of the group for
the Archaeological Debate took place in the library of ICAA on
November, 30th 2006. It was attended by many people, members of ICAA,
IoA and University students.
The second presentation of the seminar series “Appearance and modes
of dress in Prehistory: theory and practice in the case of Barç
tumulus” was delivered by Rovena Kurti.
Kurti provided interesting ideas about
the significance of the way of dress in a community, and the
importance of accessories, providing a social interpretation for the
Late Bronze Age, Early and Developed Iron Age. At the beginning of
her speech she analyzed also the way accessories in general have
been treated in studies until the early ‘90s in Albania.
