-Presentation of the Seminar series of the Group for Archaeological Debate;
-“Towards a social approach in the interpretation of the mortuary customs of the later prehistory in southeastern Albania”

The first meeting of the Group for Archaeological Debate took place in the library of ICAA on February, 9th 2006. It was attended by as many as thirty people, including Professor Muzafer Korkuti, director of the Institute of Archaeology, Professor Skënder Aliu, director of the Archaeological Museum of Korça, and many young archaeologists, members of the ICAA and IoA.

The presentation of the seminar series as well as the first paper “Towards a social approach in the interpretation of the mortuary customs of the later prehistory in southeastern Albania” was done by Lorenc Bejko. Participants discussed lively about several issues presented in the lecture and more generally on the prehistory of southeastern Albania.

Next meeting was on February, 23rd 2006. Rudenc Ruka discussed some issues of the Neolithic terracotta figurines from Albania.
