On March, 22nd 2007, in the library of
the ICAA, was held the seventh meeting of the Group of
Archaeological Debate. The topic of this meeting was “An Observation
over some Contemporary Practices for the Protection of Culture
Heritage” and was presented by Marin Haxhimihali. There were two
important moments during the event.

The first part of the presentation was
focused on an overview of several problems that mostly concerned the
organization, management and the legal circumstances of the Albanian
Culture Heritage. Haxhimihali discussed a number of topics on the
contemporary standards of the Cultural Heritage Management. Some of
these standards include: efficient management, preparation of
well-trained staff, as well as financial and political support. The
protection of Culture Heritage was considered as a key element on
the development of the Cultural Tourism as well.
Then, the second part of the meeting the presentation was followed
by impressive discussions over the newly established Archaeological
Park of Apollonia. Haxhimihali as director this park was very
welcoming on the new ideas and visions for the organization and
management of Apollonia

The meeting as usually was attended by
several members of ICAA, IoA, and students of the UT.
